Many participants have bits and pieces of understanding of how product management works. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the role, why its meaningful, what the challenges are, why focusing on frameworks doesn't work, and what you can do with your background and unique situation.

Develop a Product Mindset
A key challenge for aspiring product managers is to adapt their mindset from a project to a product mindset. Once you are aware of the difference it will stay with you and change the way you approach professional challenges throughout your career.
Establish the right Product Personas
Any product new or existing needs to be built for a set of users (personas). We will work on actual cases with a framework to develop user personas. This will simplify and make obvious how to treat any product case with confidence.
Develop a Product Roadmap easily
The main output for a Product Manager is to define the roadmap. We will make it super simple to define the inputs that go in to a proper product roadmap
Define Success Metrics with confidence
To determine the right product outcome a PM needs to define the right product metrics. We go over the HEART framework to help you define the right north start metrics for your product.
Hands-On Work on Product Cases
During this course you will work on four product cases which hands-on preparation to approach any product case around product improvement or new product development

Course syllabus

Product Mindset and Discovery
This module provides an understanding of the different adjacent roles like Product Owner, Program Manager, Scrum Master, Technical Product Manager. It then talks in detail about how to develop a Product Mindset.

Product Persona & Strategy
All products need to address an existing persona. We define 4 cases and show the right and wrong way to develop personas. Then we talk about building product strategy for the set of personas

Product Roadmap
In this module we define all the inputs required for the personas that were developed in the previous module. We also outline the difference between the three type of roadmaps - Product Roadmap, Release Plan and a Public roadmap.

Success Metrics
In this module we explain the HEART framework and use it to define North Star metrics for multiple cases.
