Course overview

Become The Engineering Leader Your Team Needs

Rome 🏛️ wasn’t built in a day, and neither is a high-performing team.

As an Engineering Manager, you won’t inherit a high-performing team overnight—you’ll need to build it. This journey can take months or even an year or two, depending on where the team currently stands. Without a clear understanding of what makes a team truly excel, your chances of leading them to success are slim.

In today’s fast-paced tech landscape, engineering management is evolving and becoming more demanding. As teams become leaner and focus on maximizing efficiency and throughput, Engineering Managers are expected to roll up their sleeves, dive into the details, and actively contribute to the team’s success.

This 4-week course is designed to equip Engineering Managers with the modern tools, approaches, and strategies needed to navigate the new reality and lead teams that thrive under pressure and deliver results.

You'll be able to:

* Get a Successful Start with EM Starter Kit: Establish your core values, leadership style, and write your "Manual of Me." Develop a 6-month roadmap to ensure your success as an Engineering Manager.

* Develop World-Class Engineers: Discover strategies to manage individual performance and craft personal growth plans, setting your team members up for long-term success.

* Build High-Performing Teams: Understand that high-performing teams aren’t born—they’re built. Learn how to nurture and develop your team over time, regardless of its current state.

* Align Vision with Execution: Connect organizational goals with engineering execution by prioritizing impactful initiatives. Balance autonomy with a hands-on approach—give your team space to execute while staying involved in key decisions and details to ensure alignment and success.

The course starts with an interactive orientation, where you'll connect with fellow participants, set goals, and lay the foundation for the program. It concludes with a graduation, where you celebrate your progress and achievements. It’s an opportunity to reflect on key learnings, share experiences with the cohort, and receive your merit of completion as you embark on the next phase of your leadership journey.

Note: This course is limited to 12 participants per cohort to ensure a personalized and fulfilling experience.
