Power BI Pro Skills: Advanced Analytics, Optimization & Governance

Cohort-based Course

Master advanced modeling, performance, governance, and Fabric in 10 live sessions—get hands-on practice and strengthen PL-300/DP-600 prep.

Course overview

Describe the transformation students will have in your course

Arrive with basics and inconsistent results; leave as the person who can model messy data into a clean star schema, author reliable measures, and make slow, error-prone reports fast, accurate, and governed. Across 10 live, hands-on sessions you’ll practice real enterprise workflows—Power Query on messy sources, storage-mode/aggregation decisions, deployment pipelines, dynamic RLS, monitoring, and Fabric integration—using reusable checklists and troubleshooting drills. You’ll finish with a portfolio-ready capstone scored on model quality, calculation logic, UX/storytelling, and performance—plus the confidence and patterns to lead production rollouts and strengthen PL-300/DP-600 readiness.

Who is this course for

01

Data & BI analysts leveling to enterprise-grade modeling & performance

02

Team leads/managers who need governance, RLS, and deployment confidence

03

Excel power users moving to Power BI/Fabric with hands-on practice

Prerequisites

  • Skill baseline

Can build basic reports in Power BI Desktop (import data, simple visuals, a few basic measures). Comfortable with Excel tabl

  • Software

Windows 10/11 laptop with the latest Power BI Desktop; permission to install/update. Chrome/Edge.

  • Data & security

We provide all lab files; no corporate data needed. If your org blocks installs, use a personal device.

What you’ll get out of this course

Design star-schema models for messy data; validate relationships and granularity.

Give students an idea of how they can expect to grow throughout your course. Include specificity and precise results so students can benchmark exactly what they’ll learn.

Write/debug advanced DAX: context, CALCULATE, iterators, time intelligence.

Tune performance: storage modes, aggregations, model size, query reduction, measurement.

Implement governance: dynamic RLS, permissions, sensitivity labels, refresh/gateway policies.

What people are saying

Even though I did not have any experience with Power BI prior to taking the class, I was able to pass the Power BI Data Analyst Associate exam. Thank you so much for your guidance and support. I found your course very beneficial and engaging, and I feel much more confident working with Power Bi after taking it.

Data Analyst
As a former developer re-entering analytics, I needed clarity on certifications. This course delivered: practical prep toward the Power BI certification (PL-300) plus a thoughtful roadmap into data governance with CDMP. I left with skills, confidence, and a concrete plan for what to pursue next
