Cohort-based Course

Efficiently fundraise for your startup with investors you love.

Hosted by

Gian Seehra

I have been a part of $300m worth of VC funding as a VC, founder and advisor.

Course overview

Build a fundraising operating system that gets you more term sheets.

Over the last decade, I’ve learnt a lot about what it takes to fundraise for startups and invest well as a VC.

During this time I have been searching to find the secret sauce to making fundraising more successful.

And you know what?

There's a proven and tested method by:

1. Building the right relationships through a structured network

2. Telling a clear and concise narrative that makes investors excited by what you are building

3. Having the right frameworks, processes and preparation before you launch and as you go through your fundraise

The real secret to having a more successful fundraise for your startup is to create an Operating System for how you tackle your fundraise.

So you can:

- Make your fundraise seamless

- Meet investors you would love to work with

- Speak to them with clarity

- Show them why they should invest into you

All so you can get an oversubscribed round for your start-up.

With the types of investors that will not just give you money, but also help you succeed.

Who is this course for

01

You are a pre-seed to Series B founder looking to fundraise in the next 3-18+ months.

02

You want a tried and true fundraising system so you can create a more successful fundraise.

03

You want to create a competitive round with the types of investors who will help you grow and scale your startup.

What you’ll get out of this course

Examine why investors think the way they do

You have to know how investors think and how you should communicate why your start-up is something they should invest into.

You'll create a knowledge book of why investors think the way they do, and how you can communicate with them to make them excited by you.

Speak with clarity on your own influential narrative

Fundraising is about being clear, confident and consistent about why and what you are building your company for.

You'll synthesize a narrative that makes investors want to invest into you by delving into your deeper why, the stories of your customers and your vision.

Build a functioning network with 100+ warm connections to investors

Fundraising is all about perception. Getting multiple warm connections into an investor is the best way to make that perception the highest.

By the end of this course you will have a functioning CRM of connectors, founders and investors for when you launch your fundraise.

Create a repeatable fundraising process for every single fundraise you ever do.

You will develop your preparation, launch timeline and fundraising strategy that will give you the highest chance of successfully fundraising.

You will use this for every single fundraise you do in the future.

What people are saying

Gian's advice in this course has been extremely useful and not the kind of advice you can simply find googling around. He shares inside tips that founders and even VCs themselves are unaware of. Knowing more of the psychology behind fundraising has made a big difference for us getting funding for our fundraise. This allowed us to raise €500k.

Gian knows his stuff! Despite having fundraised multiple times before for my own businesses and supporting others - what I have learnt has been a game changer. His hands-on experience has given me invaluable insight, not only into the mindset of an investor and the process, but critically the importance of discipline and structure.

Gian has a fantastic ability to spot unusually talented entrepreneurs and has the rare position of having been on both sides of the pitch! I worked with Gian looking at thousands of opportunities and many of the key principles in the course reflect how the venture capital world operates and the questions an investor is thinking, but wouldn't say!

It felt like we were trying to attract funds blindfolded. We had no real concept of a system or proper method. That is, until we were introduced to Gian. He guided us through his successful formula so investors have a sense of competition. He revamped our narrative and finally it feels like it communicates what we have to offer. We are grateful.

Gian Seehra

I started my career as a serial founder.

However I failed to fundraise for my first 3 startups.

This was a frustrating experience and I spent a long time trying to understand why I failed.

I applied these learnings to my next two companies where we raised $16,000,000.

I then joined Octopus Ventures, one of Europe's largest Venture Capital firms, as a VC.

During my 3 years at Octopus I was a part of $150,000,000+ in venture capital funding from pre-seed to series B companies.

This allowed me to see the other side of the coin in fundraising.

Then, in 2020, I decided to leave my VC job as I had the itch to be a founder again.

And now I have spent the last 2 years trying to solve how to make a structured process to fundraising for technology founders.

The founders I have helped have gone on to raise $130,000,000 through this process.

And I can help you build yours.
