Course overview

A high-retention Customer Journey starts with low-fidelity Storyboards 🎬

Have you ever struggled to validate your product or game ideas quickly & effectively?

It's tricky. Maybe you've built fake landing pages. Or high-quality Figma mockups. Or a stripped-down MVP

But something's missing.

Even after prototyping, we ship the wrong features, & struggle to drive retention.

Because we don't have a quick way to mockup & test our end-to-end Customer Journey & Core Loop with the right people.

But... what if you could quickly test your Customer Journey with just-right testers – with the help of Generative AI?

In this course, you'll learn how to research, design & prototype your 30-day product experience with Customer Journey Storyboards.

You'll learn specific, actionable techniques that help you:

- choose the right people to test your ideas on

- surface relevant habits & needs with 5-minute interviews

- drive retention with a habit-building Core Loop

- define the Story Beats of your customer experience

- visualize & test your product experience with low-fidelity Customer Journey Storyboards

Using your Journey Storyboarding Playbook, you'll answer questions & fill in data to bring your Customer Journey Storyboards to life.

Plus - you'll get access to JourneyMaker, our GenAI tool that helps you build a recruiting screener, analyze interview data, and create storyboards of your 30-day customer experience.

At the end of this course, you will have your own Customer Journey Storyboards to download & continue to develop.

If you want to identify problems earlier and collaborate with your team more effectively, this prototyping technique is a game-changer 🚀

After taking this course, you'll know how to

Recruit & partner with early customers to build the right product

Finding your ideal customers can be tricky, We give you a step-by-step process & template to follow for identifying & recruiting your high-need under-served customers - the ones best suited to helping you test & tune your product experience.

Write Job Stories that capture your customers' needs & habits

Want a fast, effective way to turn research insights into design decisions? You'll use our Habit Designer AI tool to automatically generate Jobs-To-Be-Done from interview transcripts, and find existing customer habits to leverage.

Build sticky habits into your product experience from the ground up

The easiest way to build a new habit, is to "stack" it on an existing one. You'll learn how to use research insights to identify "stackable" habits, and design the Core Loop in your product to fit your customer's lifestyle.

Plan your product roadmap around a skill-building Mastery Path

Don't leave retention to chance. Use our 4-stage Mastery Path framework to design re-engagement into your product roadmap by creating an experience that gets better over time – as your customers become more skilled.

Test your product ideas with low-fidelity Customer Journey Storyboards

Using step-by-step templates & Generative AI, you'll create sketches that show how a typical customer might use your product over 30 days. You'll also get detailed instructions for running a Storyboard Test to get their reactions to your product ideas.

Get 20+ templates for building an engaging product from the ground up

You'll get access to our full Template Library (20+ guided documents) that show you step-by-step how to recruit & interview customers, design a compelling journey, & validate your product ideas with low-fidelity methods.
