What you can expect from this course:

Move beyond theory with hands-on practice

You will workshop and practice actual feedback situations you're facing (or have faced). You'll receive an invaluable hardcopy learning guide (international attendees & sign ups after 11/23 will receive an electronic version) and a 30-min 1:1 with Katie.

Deconstruct the core elements of successful feedback conversations

You'll learn to streamline your feedback using the Headline, Observation, Ask model. Each step will empower you to strategically engineer a more positive and productive reception, and perception, of your feedback.

Develop your ability to successfully handle reactions to feedback

Navigate defensiveness with a proven model that enables your people to be seen and gets you back to the heart of the feedback.

Reframe your perspective & build confidence

You will create a new internal narrative on what it means to deliver tough feedback. You will feel empowered to engage, discuss, and share feedback that will help your people be their best, and help you drive a culture you're proud of.

Distinguish yourself as a developer of people

    • Session 1: Mastering Your Mindset

      Fearless feedback lives at the intersection of: Mindset, Relationship, and Delivery.


      This module focuses on Mindset & Relationship.


      We will focus pivoting our internal narratives and learning how to strategically kick off new relationships.


      The pre-work you have this week includes two videos.


      1. Welcome & Management Principles - before our live session, get a glimpse into the foundational thinking and foundational beliefs that underpin everything you're going to experience in this course.
      2. Relationship Kick Off Call - in our first session, you will learn and practice how to effectively kick off a feedback relationship. This video is one segment of the broader call.

      This module is going to focus on Delivery.


      You will walk away from this session with command of:

      • The 3 types of feedback
      • The Headline, Observation, Ask model
      • Transition statements to more successfully enter into feedback conversations


      For this session, you will actively work on crafting and delivering feedback. Please plan to be ready to work on one of the following:

      • Feedback you need to deliver,
      • A feedback scenario you wish you'd delivered differently, or
      • Feedback you've received and wished it had been delivered differently.

      • The feedback situation(s) you're currently facing


      Come to the session prepared to discuss the reactions that are most challenging for you.

  • Thursday, November 30th

    9:00 - 10:30 PST

    We kick off our course by exploring the impact Mindset and Relationship have on feedback delivery. Learn 1 core perspective shift, 3 mindset tactics, and then how to lead the Relationship Kickoff Conversation.

  • Thursday, December 7th

    9:00 - 10:30 PST

    This will be the meatiest session with feedback model exploration and you'll walk away with new language and tools to immediately have more impactful conversations.

  • Thursday, December 14th

    9:00 - 10:30 PST

    Bring it all together with tools to handle reactions and even more practice and discussion to enable you to graduate as a Fearless Deliverer of Feedback.
