Make Learning Happen

There’s a lot of buzz in organizations about learning, growth, collaboration, and team problem-solving. In this course, you'll learn and practice techniques that will turn any group experience into a group learning opportunity.

This course is for you if...

01

You want to inspire and motivate your team, but you walk out of the room feeling like the sessions you lead with groups are falling flat.

02

You're tired of feeling unsure if the group is actually learning together when you invest so much time and money in Learning & Development.

03

You care deeply about growth, collaboration, learning systems & building resilient, high-performing teams.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Create great sessions (online & in-person)

Craft an inspiring group session using the 4-key 'creative' ingredients of great teaching: purpose, props, place, and pace;

Communicate with the group with confidence and conviction

Break the 3 worst habits leaders make when communicating instructions to a group. Build new habits that work, drawing on the principles of great questions, pauses, and play.

Connect learners with one another to facilitate trust building and learning as a collective

Harness the power of repetition, story & collective meaning-making. Know who you are in the room. Set the group up on a catalytic learning journey in the first 10 minutes.

I love teaching—so much so that I earned a PhD in the study of, you guessed it, teaching. I’m building this course because all leaders should know how learning works and how to make it happen in their teams and groups.

Learning doesn't have to be the result of rigid facilitation techniques. Let's create projects where folks are able to bring their whole self into an experience. Let's focus on being genuine and creating welcoming spaces for folks to learn, make mistakes, and learn again. I'm a passionate project manager, community builder, and facilitator with 5+ years of educational programming and facilitation experience in post-secondary institutions.
