Prior to meeting Sue I was just like most other homeschool moms I knew. I was doing the best I could but often felt overwhelmed and like I was just missing the mark somehow. Upon starting tutoring my son, Sue was able to teach me things about him I hadn’t yet learned. Her understanding nature and vast knowledge of learning difficulties helped us.

I have been so pleased with my daughter's progression in phonics and reading skills. Ms. Sue is extremely knowledgeable in her field. The help, insight, and comfort she has given me as a parent has been invaluable. She is a compassionate instructor who truly knows firsthand the challenges parents may be facing. We love Ms. Sue, she is awesome!

Sue engaged the playful parts of my daughter’s personality to help her get comfortable and trust that Sue was not going to shame her, for not knowing the right answer to a math problem or any problem for that matter. Sue helped us laugh together through the struggle of learning how to teach and learn with learning differences.

Having a better understanding of how my daughter sees a page of words, as well as knowing the tools I need to help her learn in a way that best fits her needs have made a huge difference for us. There is less frustration on both our parts as well as more progress.

I remember sitting at home week after week writing out my spelling words 20 times each. That is what it took for me to learn the words. We had a spelling book with 20 new words each week. There was no creativity or flexibility, just practice followed by more practice.

Dyslexia is an everyday part of life for myself and my family. My mom struggled and so did one of my brothers and one of my sisters. I decided to learn how to help others who dealt with dyslexia.

My history of dyslexia allows me to share with parents a perspective that reflects the struggles of their own children.

It is my desire to help you. You know your child better than anyone else and you can help them achieve their best. I hope that you will allow me the honor of working with you.
