Course overview

Using User Research and AI Can Accelerate Product Market Fit

As a product leader, you focus on getting your idea to market in the fastest possible timeframe. But the process of getting your idea to a prototype, and then your prototype to an actual app has by nature been limited. Generative AI is changing all that. A new suite of AI design tools can help you build prototypes for web and mobile apps in just minutes.

Over the course of four weeks, you will learn how to use these tools, and build your own landing pages, prototypes, and even generate code for mobile or web that you could hand off to your devs. Each week will start out with an introduction to a new tool, and end with a capstone where you can share your project.

Week 1: We will start the course by diving into two Web design tools: Durable and Relume. You will learn how to use both, and then you can choose your favorite and build a web page or site the rest of the week - don't worry - you can build fast with these tools!

Week 2: The second week, we will look at Uizard. This amazing tool can generate entire interactive prototypes using a simple prompt. We will look at how to do this, and then how to refine and make it better using AI and other features in the app. Then, you guessed it, you will build your own Uizard prototype this week.

Week 3: This week we will dive into Figma, the industry standard tool for designing and prototyping. We will look at how you can use tools like Relume and other plugins to speed your prototype development in Figma. You will then have a chance to build and present yet another prototype at the end of the week.

Week 4: In the final week of the course, you will learn how to export your Figma designs to production-ready code using Locofy Lightning. After learning the ins and outs of this Figma plugin, you will export your Figma prototype to the supported codebase of your choosing, either mobile or web.

Each week will consist of the following sessions and projects (learn more in the syllabus further down this page):

- a 90-minute tool introduction on Tuesdays

- a simple project you can work on in your own time

- a 90-minute project sharing and Q/A session every Friday during the first 3 weeks

- the final 90-minute lesson will be an open session to answer any questions about real-life projects, the tools we learned, other tools - or whatever the class brings.

Additionally, Drew will be available for 1:1 sessions throughout the duration of the course to help you troubleshoot during your projects.

Who is this course for

01

Product Managers who are looking to speed up their process and get their prototypes designed and to code faster than ever before.

02

Designers worried about getting displaced by AI tools can learn how to use AI to make better designs faster - and send devs the actual code.

03

Founders who want to be able to see their ideas designed in real-time using a new family of AI tools, and then exported directly to code.

What you’ll get out of this course

Learn to create websites and landing pages using just a prompt.

Building websites is faster than ever using Durable. In this course, we will go over the basics of using Durable and Relume (with Webflow integration) and how you might use them to create web sites and landing pages to test your messaging, market your product, or anything else.

Learn and create comprehensive design prototypes in minutes.

We will dive into Uizard and learn how you can use it to create prototypes in less time than was ever possible before. You will learn how to create an entire prototype from a simple prompt, then how to add and change screens, modify the theme, and make your prototype sing.

Learn how to use Figma plugins to speed up your web and prototype design.

Figma has become THE standard for designing prototypes. In this course, you will learn about the best AI plugins available (including Relume) that can do everything from generating designs, generating usable content, and overall making your design process faster and better.

Learn how to export your designs directly to code.

Students will learn how to use Locofy Lightning to export their Figma designs directly to code. With very few steps, you can make sure your designs are accurately represented by handing off actual code that includes not only styles but even components made from your designs.
