Course syllabus
01
Foundations of product iconography
In the first module, you'll learn the principles of product icon illustration. This covers topics like grids, sizing, stroke weight, end caps, joins, and metaphor. You'll get a chance to build a small set of icons that fit into a large suite that encapsulate all the knowledge you've gained about the basics.

Create a bespoke icon set
In the second module, you'll be assigned a brand for whom you will design a new icon system. You will learn to work from a brand guideline to create a tailored product icon set. Each student will receive personalized video feedback to help them identify successful choices and opportunities for improvement.
03
Prepare your work for production
In the final module, you'll take your bespoke icon set and prepare it for production, taking into account requirements provided by your instructor. By the end of this module, your icon set will be ready for implementation. And more importantly, you will have a portfolio piece you can use to demonstrate your mastery.
