Understand How Marketing Actually Works - Without Becoming a Marketer
Course overview
Marketing today is often misunderstood — especially by people who are not marketers but still have to work closely with marketing teams.
This course is designed to simplify marketing by breaking it down into clear, logical frameworks that explain how marketing decisions are actually made.
Instead of focusing on tools, platforms, or tactics, the course focuses on how to think about marketing — from identifying the right customer to building a coherent marketing strategy and understanding where modern marketing is headed with AI and immersive technologies.
You won’t learn how to run ads. You will learn how marketing decisions are made, and how they drive business growth.
This course is designed to give you marketing clarity, not confusion.

Apply the STPD framework to identify and evaluate target customers
Learn how to use Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning and Differentiation to identify the right customers and assess whether a business is focusing on the segments that truly matter, instead of trying to appeal to everyone.
Understand and apply the 4Ps of marketing in real business contexts
Understand how Product, Price, Place and Promotion work together in real businesses. Learn to evaluate whether these decisions are aligned with strategy, customer needs and positioning - rather than viewing them as isolated marketing activities.
Conduct a basic marketing audit of any business
Develop the ability to review a company’s marketing efforts holistically - identifying gaps between strategy and execution, spotting weak assumptions and understanding why certain marketing initiatives succeed or fail.
Evaluate marketing strategies, campaigns, and agency recommendations
Build the confidence to assess marketing plans, campaigns and agency proposals critically. Learn how to ask the right questions, challenge weak logic and judge marketing effectiveness without relying on tools or technical expertise.
