Meet your instructor

We'll start by diving into what bitcoin is and why it's important. We'll then learn how bitcoin started, how it works, and what makes it so attractive. We'll wrap up with a comparison of bitcoin vs gold.&nbsp;

Bitcoin and How it Works

What are the primary use cases of bitcoin? How does supply and demand work? What are the biggest misconceptions? We'll cover these high level topics before jumping into the regulatory environment, how to buy / sell bitcoin, and different ways to store bitcoin.

Understanding the Bitcoin Market

Enough about Bitcoin. Time to shift gears towards the rest of the crypto universe.&nbsp;We'll start with the world of Ethereum and its core innovation: smart contracts. We'll then talk through decentralized finance (DeFi) and its regulatory environment. We'll wrap up with discussion around stable coins, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).

The Decentralized World

We'll cover the possibilities that Web3 and DApps enable and an overview of the most popular acronyms in crypto: DAOs, (the good, bad, and ugly of) ICOs, NFTS, and social tokens

Crypto Experiments

We'll take a big step back here to focus on topics like large institutional involvement, privacy implications, our civil liberties, and taxes! Before this workshop, I'll ask you for input on other topics you want me to dive into including an opportunity for student presentations.

Broader Implications
