Course overview
When it comes to our professional bios, I believe we all missed the original assignment — to tell our story in ways that invite curiosity, connection, and conversation.
Instead, we've all been looking over someone else's shoulder. Copying what they've done. Replacing their name and accomplishments with our own. Hoping to come across polished and professional, all while playing a high-stakes game of Mad Libs with our careers.
We're so much more than a random collection of nouns and verbs and adjectives. We're multifaceted humans with big dreams. And if we want to realize those dreams, we have to stop playing formulaic games.
This is not a course in making tweaks and edits to “OK“ bios. I won't be sharing fill-in-the-blank templates. And I have no interest in being anyone's Fairy Grammarly. 🧚♀️ This is a master class in learning to see and describe your own awesomeness — like you never have before.

Credential and elevate your works with a bio your readers will remember.
Plus a caring instructor and cohort that will kindly remind you if you forget.
Learn to think like a professional writer — so you can confidently, authentically, and powerfully express yourself when it matters most.
Across race, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, ability, creative style, and professional role.
Live support and feedback in cohort meetings. Select opportunities for hands-on edits.
Our method teaches you to build whatever bio you need. One sentence for Instagram, a tell-all for your website, an About section on LinkedIn, a blurb on a book, a podcast intro, etc. Choose your own bio adventure.
This is #maincharacterenergy at its finest. Nothing beats the feeling of being powerfully, authentically, unmistakably You.

Anita worked her way from Apple Retail store employee to executive speechwriter over a 13-year career, designing presentations given to Steve Jobs and authoring Apple’s Credo along the way. Today she's running Cause:Effect Creative, a branding agency that expresses visionary ideas with poetic power. She’s also building The Land of Make and Believe, a 14-acre event and retreat space bringing magical realism to a nonfiction world. And she's hosting the Hyperactive Imagination podcast, a high-voltage channel for creativity.
