Course overview
As human beings, we make choices every day. As Board Directors, there is even more at stake.
In this 2+1 week experiential course you will learn how to dissect and evaluate complex issues through an ethical lens and apply a framework for decision-making in the boardroom.

Ethics for Beginners
Differentiate between ethics and morals. Dissect what makes something "right" or "wrong". Examine how these concepts are reflected in our daily lives.
Building Blocks
When faced with ethical dilemmas, our flight or fight responses kick in. Instead, learn how identify common biases and apply the 6 ethical lenses to construct a framework for practical decision-making in any situation.
Boardroom R&R
Test your knowledge. Articulate the key roles and responsibilities of non-profit Board Directors.

Saira is an experienced consultant with over 20 years in the public, private and non-profit sectors, advising clients on how to future-proof their boards by adopting a sustainable culture and optimizing their governance practices. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Sustainability Practitioner and a Project Management Professional.
4-6 hours per week
Tuesdays & Thursdays
12:30pm - 2:00pm EST
Main sessions will be 90 minutes twice a week. All sessions (with the exception of breakout rooms) are recorded and will be available on-demand.
