No, the course focus on loadable families created using Revit's family editor.

You cannot talk about families without talking about modeling tools. However, it isn't the main point of this course. We have found that users jump too quickly to the modeling tools without properly setting up the skeleton & muscles of their families. Modeling is the easy part. 😉

I want the sessions to be as interactive as possible. For each 2-hours session, you can expect around 75-90 minutes of presentation. The rest is dedicated to questions and exercises. You will immediately put into practice what you learn.

A bit, yeah. For each session, you will have a family creation challenge. You will have some time to start the challenge during the live session, but you can complete it after class.

For weeks 1 and 2, you can expect about 5 hours/week. That includes 2 live sessions and about 2 hours of reading extra content and doing the family creation challenges.

Week 3 is for Q&As and catching up.

You should have at least a little bit of experience creating families. You should know how to add reference planes, assign dimensions, model basic geometry, and create parameters. If you are a fast learner, you could read our pamphlet about families. If you understand everything, you might be ready for the cohort.
