In the first live session, we will code. Access Apps Scripts and find out where the code lives in a Google Sheets. Everyone will open up Google Sheets and type out code that will absolutely work. You'll learn how to do simple math behind the scenes and return data to a cell.

Bring data from the spreadsheet to code and back again
Learn to access data in any sheet
Learn code to access data in sheets, rows, columns, or cells.
Like a wizard learning the dark arts, you'll feel more powerful with every stroke.

Conjure email from Google Sheets
Learn how to harness sending email from your Google Sheet. Send reminders to yourself, or reports to teammates. Send links to access sheets or even download sheets.

Bring out the hidden spells, so that others can use your sheets better
Learn to create a custom menu right along side Help in the top menu bar of Google Sheets. Bring your functions in Apps Script to the front end user of your Google Sheets. Customizing the sheet makes Google Sheets feel like your own personal spellbook.

Automate your code. Learn how to use installable triggers in Apps Script to create automations. Make your code come alive every day, or every week and do as you command.

Course schedule
8-10 hours in 1 week
Friday Jam
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM EST
The Friday before our session, meet your fellow future wizards. Spend time sharing what, if anything, you're working on. Share sheets you've made before. Or just toast to your fellow future wizards.
Monday - Thursday
6:00pm - 7:30pm EST
We'll meet each day from Monday to Thursday. Strap in and hold on tight. We're building, making, creating each and every day!
Programming Pre-Work
2 hours per week
On your own time you'll have to watch the live session pre-work. You'll also get access to all code, so if writing code is daunting, don't worry. Simply copy and paste and it'll work.
I would suggest to schedule 30 minutes each day for this before the live session.
Friday Lab
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM EST
Bonus Q&A session to bring your projects and debug anything you're working on.
