Product Leader / Taught At
Course overview
Leadership is complex and demanding. It is more art than science. And so is building products. When you combine the two, success is not guaranteed.
As a Product Leader aiming to improve, you likely face these common challenges:
1) Leadership theory is simple, but real-world application is tough. You’ve read the books and listened to the podcasts, but actual situations are complex, dynamic, and full of variables. What works in theory often doesn’t fit real-world contexts.
2) You may struggle to identify the critical skills needed to lead at the highest level. With so many competencies to develop, it’s unclear what to prioritize on your leadership journey.
3) Leadership advice is often contradictory. You hear 'take ownership' vs 'be inclusive,' 'listen to customers' vs 'customers don’t know what they want,' and 'craft a vision' vs 'adapt to uncertainty.' Navigating these mixed messages can be confusing.
With 20 years of experience building products and teams, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the most influential leaders in tech—Satya, Sundar, Mark, Bill, Larry, and others whose names you may not know. I’ve experienced both success and failure, and I’ve led high-performing teams through it all. Along the way, through mistakes, reflections, and insights from the best, I’ve identified three essential skills every top 1% Product Leader must master:
1) Communication
2) Decision Making
3) Team Building
What to Expect in this Course
Everything I will teach comes from real-world examples and proven practices that work in action.
