Course overview
Overall, leadership in remote workplaces requires a shift in mindset and a different set of skills compared to traditional office-based leadership.
This course will help you develop the skills necessary to be a remarkable leader in virtual and hybrid work places. You will enhance your ability to communicate, create trust, adapt, and how to leverage technology to create a productive and connected virtual work environment.

You want to help foster collaboration and team cohesion despite physical distance.

You care about the wellbeing and mental health of your employees and want to create an environment of psychological safety.
You will learn to sharpen the communication of yourself and your team by becoming more concise, inclusive, and proactive to ensure everyone on your team is on the same page and connected.
You will learn how to implement strategies to improve regular team meetings, inclusive decision-making processes, enhance psychological safety, and virtual team-building activities to create a deeper a sense of unity.
You will work through common and challenging scenarios that occur in hybrid and virtual environments. These exercises will give you a plan of action to handle situations in your own working environment.
During our program you will receive materials and resources that can be used on an ongoing basis after our sessions end (such as team exercises, virtual project retrospective templates, etc.).

For the last 15 years, I’ve worked internally and externally with
Fortune 500 and leading technology companies. I supported organizations by providing leadership development, executive coaching, professional training and development, organizational development, facilitation, assessment, and curriculum design.
Internally I’ve had leadership positions at Google, Pinterest, Riot Games, and Discord. Externally, I get brought in to work with executives, leaders, team and various professionals on areas of leadership acumen, management skill, relationship development, team interaction, and communication effectiveness.

Communication in Hybrid World
In our first section we will do a deep dive in to strategies to improve your communication in remote settings. Additionally, we will review strategies to improve the communication of your team.

Psychological Safety in a remote work
In our second and final session we will dive into strategies to improve the mental wellbeing of you and your team. You will be given strategies that will strengthen your ability to become an inclusive leader.

We will meet for two hours as a group on Zoom (link in the calendar invite)
30 minutes per week
At the end of our first session you will have an assignment to complete prior to our second program.
