Course overview
As design leaders, we face unprecedented pressure: We're expected to learn to use AI effectively ourselves, innovate with AI or risk competitors taking market share; all whilst protecting users and teams from harmful outcomes.
Current State: In a world where customer trust of AI has plummeted from 61% globally in 2023 to 53% in 2024; with the US dropping to just 35%. (Forbes, 2024)
We are collectively failing to design AI that users trust.
Imagine Instead an AI Future it's 2 years from now. AI is woven into every facet of our digital lives—from healthcare to education, from finance to communication systems.
Imagine if everyone - even my mum - could:
1. Immediately understand when AI is in use
2. Clearly see what information it's using about her
3. Grasp its decision making and why it's recommended specifically for her
4. Know exactly how to get help if something goes wrong
What if AI systems had intuitive labels like the care tags on clothing we all wear?
This isn't a far-off dream —this is the Transparency ethical principle in action and it's the future WE MUST BUILD.
This course transforms design leaders into ethical AI champions, equipping you with practical frameworks to evolve your design practice and create trustworthy AI systems that users genuinely understand and confidently rely on.
