Course overview

Prototype LLM apps and get them into Production. Learn to leverage LLM Ops.

Welcome to your next great LLM adventure!

We invite you to join the close-knit AI Makerspace community, and start building, shipping, and sharing from prototyping to production to Demo Day!

You will learn to prototype LLM applications according to best practices, using the four primary patterns of Generative AI as first principles: Prompt Engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Fine-Tuning (of LLMs and embedding models), and Agents.

You will get hands-on practice building complex LLM applications, and sharing your new expertise weekly with instructors, peers who have been there before, and your fellow cohort members.

From data processing, prompt iteration iterations of hands-on practice of deploying LLM web applications to a public URL with a slick user interface!

While never getting locked into a single cloud-computing vendor, you will learn how to build quick prototypes to share with others, as well as how to build production-grade applications with scalable endpoints that leverage the latest open-source models. As the center point of the course, RAG systems, you will get to know RAG systems in great depth, including LangChain and LlamaIndex frameworks, and how to assess and improve their performance.

You will outfit your applications with visibility tooling, starting with WandB prompts and transitioning to LangSmith.

**Note: This course adapts to industry-standard open-source software and compute hardware, and is (mostly) cloud platform agnostic. We strive to keep your additional costs low (below ~$100 total). Check Q&A for more info!**

Active hands-on learning at the edge

We teach concepts AND code. Never one or the other. AI has accelerated so quickly that anyone who's been a manager the last few years has not yet seen the code for themselves.

Project-based and community-driven

You’ll be interacting with other learners through breakout rooms and project teams. We can't wait to see what you build, ship, and share on Demo Day projects 🀩.

Find fellow travelers for your journey

Join a community of like-minded AI practitioners who are all in on Generative AI, and who are heading down the same career path as you are.
